STRENGTH TRAINING
FOR WOMEN APPROACHING 50 & BEYOND
You want to lose fat. But weight loss can take muscle and strength with it.
Stop making weight loss the goal. Start making muscle gain the goal.
Studies show that consistent resistance training can improve strength and reduce abdominal fat in women after menopause.*
WHEN THE EFFORT DOESN’T FEEL LIKE PROGRESS
“I exercise more now than I have ever in my entire life.”
When you can’t see progress, it’s easy to wonder what you’re doing wrong.
You deserve real answers and someone in your corner, someone who knows what works, who listens, and stays with you as you learn. That’s why I’m here.
01 / A DIFFERENT WAY TO LOOK AT IT
Training starts the process.
Food and rest support it.
Your body is always repairing and rebuilding muscle. As we get older, that process can become less responsive. Less activity, illness, and not getting enough nourishment can make it harder to hold on to the muscle we have.
But your muscles can still respond to training. Resistance gives them a reason to grow stronger. Protein supplies building materials. Rest gives your body time to recover.
The next step is putting those pieces into a routine that fits you.
A 12-week study found improved muscle and strength in postmenopausal women who trained. Read the research ↗

NUTRITION
03Recipes and workouts give you information. Personal coaching helps you put it into practice—and work through what gets in the way.

Good food belongs in this picture. My protein-focused recipes bring satisfying meals and clear nutrition figures together, so you can enjoy what you’re eating and understand what a serving provides.
In coaching, I help you connect those food choices to your training and goals.

NASM Certified Personal Trainer
Certified Nutrition Coach
I’m JoAnn. I coach women approaching 50 and beyond, bringing strength training, nutrition guidance and personal accountability together.
I tailor your workouts to your current level, teach you the exercises, and help you connect your food choices to the work. When you’re unsure or struggling to follow through, we work through what’s getting in the way.
I know the value of that help. At 64, I hired a trainer myself. Learning that I could still build strength led me to study training and nutrition—and become a coach. I’m 66 now, and still investing in my longevity.
Read why I became a coach ↗Let’s talk about what you want to feel stronger doing. In a one-on-one consultation, we’ll discuss your goals and how coaching could fit your life.
